About Us

Mission

Sozolife Foundation is a non-denominational, faith-based Christian organisation located in Northern Thailand. We seek to bring the message of salvation to unreached families and communities in Thailand and Myanmar, demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through various projects, community events and camps, seminars and training, partnering with communities for their holistic growth.

Declare: We believe that the Gospel is meant to be shared intergenerationally and interculturally. Our mission is to bring the Good News to those who have not yet had the opportunity to hear it, including remote villages in mountainous jungle regions and groups in developed areas with language or cultural barriers. We are committed to evangelism, sharing the love of Christ with those who may have never heard of Him before.

Disciple: We are called to make disciples of all nations, and we believe that this is an ongoing process that involves teaching and training others in the Word of God and in godly living. Our ministry focuses on cooperation with the Holy Spirit to help individuals discover their God-given gifts, talents, and purpose, both as individuals and as part of the body of Christ. We provide weekly gatherings on our ministry base as part of our discipleship ministry and the training of emerging leaders.

Release: We see that building strong godly families and communities is essential for the ongoing evangelism and discipleship ministries. Through various projects and events, we provide healing and restoration for families and communities. We help families and communities to be released from the bondage of poverty through our farming and vocational opportunities. We also provide shelter for women and children abandoned by their families, to prevent their enslavement, forced prostitution, and sex trafficking.

History

In 2012, Pastors Somphet & Karenna Dakhota assumed leadership of Asian Tribal Ministries, a ministry pioneered by Karenna’s parents. Two years later, they encountered a mother and son who had been abandoned and left without resources or a home. With both government and private sectors unable to provide immediate assistance, the Dakhotas recognized the urgent need for intervention. They opened their own home to the mother and her son, providing vital assistance and support. This compassionate act birthed the start of a new ministry.

Responding to the increasing need to aid women and children experiencing physical and mental abuse, Pastors Dakhota and Karenna founded Haven of Grace in 2018. The mission was clear: to provide temporary shelter and comprehensive support services to those in crisis. This encompassed mental and physical healthcare, vocational training opportunities, and spiritual growth. Since its inception, Haven of Grace has positively impacted the lives of over 100 mothers and children, equipping them with resources to rebuild and thrive in society.

In 2020, driven by their unwavering faith and vision of “transforming lives, transforming nations”, Pastors Dakhota and Karenna resigned from their directorship at Asian Tribal Ministries. They embarked on a new journey of faith, founding Sozolife Foundation Thailand. This organisation is dedicated to declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, and empowering families and communities to walk in freedom and victory.

Our Team

Pastors Somphet & Karenna Dakhota made a decision in June 2020 to resign from their directorship position at Asian Tribal Ministries and step out in faith to launch the Sozolife Foundation Thailand. This decision was made prayerfully and with guidance from the Holy Spirit.

By God’s miraculous provision, in March 2021, they were able to purchase two acres of land located just 30 minutes from Chiangmai City. Since then, they have been developing the land and its facilities to provide for the various ministries and projects of Sozolife.
